Sushyanth Gali

I'm an aerospace engineer with hands-on industry experience across the full product lifecycle — CAD design, FEA, vendor sourcing, and DGCA certification of agricultural and testing UAVs.

I'm currently doing my M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering at Vilnius Tech, researching aircraft glide-path generation from single-frequency GNSS receivers.

Before Lithuania I was a Design Engineer at NextLeap Aeronautics in Bengaluru, taking UAVs from concept through type certification and customer delivery.

On the side I run CrocByte — a one-person studio where I design and publish Android apps and games. Hardware or software, I like building the whole thing.

  • Designed the Leap A10 agricultural spraying UAV in CATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE) and led full mechanical + electrical integration.
  • Managed DGCA TYPE certification — all regulatory documentation plus NABL lab testing (temperature, shock, EMI/EMC).
  • Cut BOM cost 30–40% through strategic vendor sourcing for metal, carbon-fibre, and electronic components.
  • Co-designed thrust stands up to 100 kg for motor, propeller, and gas-turbine testing.

GNSS Glide-Path Generation

Reconstructing aircraft approach trajectories from low-cost single-frequency GNSS receivers — using an extended Kalman filter and Hatch carrier-smoothing to recover a usable glide path without expensive dual-frequency hardware. Modelled and validated in MATLAB.
